This painting is about the magic of the early morning mist on a lake in the mountains. Like a cloud, it rises up, catching the morning light just as it crests over the mountain. In a few moments, the light shifted and it was gone.
It’s also about the potential of the day. Knowing you’re going to have a lovely day on the water is magical in and of itself.
This is a commission for a collector who has been going to this lake with his family for sixty years. They still visit every year!
