This transitional moment, just after the rain when the blue sky is peeking through is so poignant to me. Â It is both moody and sincere, longing, awaiting the shift into something lighter, yet holding the drama of the moment. Â
Sometimes I don’t know whether I want the sun to come back or not. Â It’s all so beautiful. Â
This is based off of a photograph of Druridge Bay in the UK, a spot very dear to the family of the collector who commissioned this painting.
